Thursday January 16
Adventuress threw off her lines this afternoon and romped
out of Oyster Pond with a big smile on her face, and with her mainsail gleaming
in the sunshine. Soon the motor was off and we in turn were grinning as we bore
away North Westwards under full Jib and reefed Main: great to be sailing again!
Just forty minutes later we entered Orient Bay and anchored behind the reef:
and we jumped in: great to be swimming again! After our dip
we had to celebrate the repaired swim ladder, good as new:
Our celebration included marinating lime in ice, gin and
tonic:
And of course we toasted the early sunset behind the western
hills:
Now it’s Saturday and we are anchored in Grand Case, another
old favourite of ours:
And JFK is unhappily obeying all the local laws!
Best to all,
John and Nancy
I'm surprised that you were not nude standing by the sign!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bobby Ward! So happy for you two! And glad to hear that Adventuress was repaired to your standards! It is REALLY cold here (high of about 16 today with wind chills from 0 to -10). We had about 8" of snow here yesterday. It's awful, and no warm-up in site. Have a great time,....so envious!!!
ReplyDeleteI will send John a bitter cold thought on his naked days. That's all I can Poopon -or "mustard". Can you feel the chill? Stay sane Nancy-dear, he is trouble(d). ....... oh yes: Wish we were there, ... . . . . brrrrr
ReplyDeleteCome'on guys! Time for an update!! :-) I know you're having fun (who couldn't?) but we are freezing our butts off here in PA and want to live vicariously through your posts and pics!! I was just on Caribbean Ship Tracker side and found Adventuress off the coast of Anguilla - near Phillipsburg! That was quite a surprise to actually be able to find you! Anyway,...take care you two and we'll see ya soon! Love, Jo
